This website does not track you. There are no cookies, no analytics and no scripts that profile or fingerprint visitors. All fonts, scripts and images are served from this site.

Embedded videos (Vimeo): Some project pages contain videos hosted by Vimeo. They are not loaded automatically. Only after you click “Play video” does your browser connect to Vimeo, which may then receive your IP address and set cookies. See Vimeo’s privacy policy.

Weather data: The experiment “Visualising Digital Dune Winds” shows current wind and cloud data for a random city. Your browser asks only this website for it; the server fetches the data from OpenWeatherMap (openweathermap.org) and keeps it for 15 minutes. Your IP address is not passed on to OpenWeatherMap.

What the server logs: Like any web server, requests are logged with the visiting IP address, time, and requested URL. These logs are kept on the server for debugging and rotated automatically. They are not shared with anyone.

What about external links? When you click an external link (e.g. Instagram, the Piet Zwart Institute), you leave this site and become subject to the privacy policy of that destination.

Accessibility: This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. It can be used with a keyboard (a “skip to main content” link is available), works with screen readers, respects the “reduce motion” setting and offers a high-contrast Read Mode. Known limits: some older project videos on Vimeo have no captions, and a few archive images are animated. If you run into a barrier, please write to andi@andreashoefert.at and I will fix it.
